ProTek Fiber Secures $51 Million Grant from Illinois DCEO's Connect Illinois Program to Expand High-Speed Internet Access in Rural Southern Illinois

Marion, IL – ProTek Fiber, a leading provider of high-speed internet services, is thrilled to announce the receipt of a substantial $51 million grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) through its Connect Illinois Program. This funding will support the expansion of fiber-optic internet infrastructure in underserved areas of Southern Illinois, emphasizing the state's commitment to bridging the digital divide and ensuring equitable access to broadband internet services.

The grant, awarded through a competitive process, positions ProTek Fiber to bring reliable and high-speed internet access to communities across Williamson, Jackson, Franklin, Johnson, and Union counties. This initiative directly addresses the critical need for connectivity in rural regions, empowering residents and businesses with transformative opportunities.
